TJNFF Beach Day

Each year on the last Monday of July— friends, family, volunteers, and those who have been impacted by Thrive in Joy— gather on Venice Beach to celebrate Nick’s life. We also remember other loved ones who have left us too soon. It’s a beautiful day of connection for the ever-growing Thrive in Joy community where we hear from those who have been positively touched by Thrive in Joy’s mission. At Thrive in Joy, we always say “every day is precious.” This day reinforces that simple truth.

Annual NDHS/TJNFF Baseball Extravaganza & 14U Invitational Tournament
Sports and character development are a natural pairing, and the NDHS/TJNFF Annual 14U Invitational Baseball Tournament—brings together our character mission with Nick’s love of baseball. Join us at what Sports Illustrated calls “the prettiest little ballpark in the Valley" for our 14U travel tournament games. These 12 and 13 year-olds are some of the best baseball players in California. The concession stand will be serving its usual gourmet fare, and there will be a chance to win some great raffle prizes. All proceeds from the event will support the expansion of our C11 character development program in more Los Angeles high schools, with a focus on those in low-income communities. Bring your family and friends to cheer on these awesome teams! Admission is free.

11 Days of Giving
TJNFF’s annual appeal runs from 11/1 at 11:11 a.m. through 11/11 at 11:11 pm. Why 11/11? Because whenever Nick saw the time 11:11 on his phone he made a wish. A little Nick whimsy adds a lot of heart to this campaign. It’s a viral event that can use an army of volunteers because gifts of $11.11 add up quickly to a lot of good.

Each year our community of friends, volunteers, and supporters celebrates Nick’s Nov. 23 birthday practicing Random Offerings of Character & Kindness. We love having a focused day of kindness, but let’s keep it going all year. Spread some unexpected joy and let us know by using #Rock4Nick in your post.
